Alain M. Leclerc became a partner of Goudreau Gage Dubuc in 1994. In 2006 he was promoted to the position of co-managing partner of the firm. He oversees the day-to-day operations of its patent sector and presides the chemical practice group.
He holds a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Ottawa and is a lawyer called to the Bar in both Quebec and Ontario. He is also a registered patent agent in Canada and the United States and a trade-mark agent in Canada.
In addition to a busy patent prosecution practice for clients here and abroad, his expertise is sought in the areas of intellectual property litigation, due diligence, strategy, portfolio value building and licensing. He is also particularly active in pharmaceutical litigation.
He is a regular speaker on intellectual property topics at professional conferences and client events.
